Yesterday was a memorable one for the Nigerian music industry as Wizkid and Davido put an end to their long standing beef during Wizkid’s concert at the Eko Convention centre, giving fans a good highlight of the year.
Lots of fabulous performances went down from Nigerian’s A-listers BUT ONE MOMENT STOOD OUT!!!! That moment when Wizkid called out Davido for a duet of David’s hit single “FIA” and boyyyyyy, it was LIT!

After this reconciliation, we have five things we are expecting from these superstars and we are keeping our fingers crossed on these expectations… may they come to pass!
So here we go!
Distraction from fuel scarcity: That is if this is not already happening. Some Nigerians have already forgotten there’s fuel scarcity or at least that is not occupying their thoughts as it used to as it is clearly seen on twitter that the trend which used to be #fuelscarcity has changed to #WizkidTheConcert. The Nigerian government is definitely welcoming this distraction as their twitter handle will rest for a while, we can’t promise how long though.
Reconciled Fans: The next thing we expect is for the fans of both superstars to come together, kiss and makeup, your stars have done so, take the cue and follow suit.
Dope shows: The beautiful thing about this reconciliation is that the shows Nigerians have been dreaming about but thinking of its impossibility will now be possible as we now expect Wizkid and Davido to bomb each other’s performance happily and give us more of what we experienced yesterday at Eko Convention Centre.
Collaborations: How did this not top my list? Blame that on fuel scarcity. Anyways, 2018 has promised to be dope, but this reconciliation is a huge confirmation that the music experience we would receive this coming year which has just 6 days before we sing our farewell song to it is not here to play, and are definitely going serious with it. This reconciliation either spoken or unspoken is promising us loads of collaborations from these superstars and we are here for all of it and more!’
Wizkid To Perform at Davido’s Concert: One good turn they say deserves another and we ready for all the turns this reconciliation deserves because we wanna have maximum fun this Christmas where Naija music is concerned. Davido’s concert is in two days and this reconciliation is changing our expectations from the show. We’re not just looking forward to seeing Wizkid there, but to also witness him perform on a Davido’s stage… I don’t know what you call this if not iconic… we are experiencing what can only happen in movies, a fairytale ending and we love it!
Last expectation is on you guys! Yes, that’s on you. We’re keeping it open for you guys to tell us what you’re expecting from this reconciliation because we know it is more than five, and hey, we can’t be all selfish and let our five be the five…let your choice complete the five and if you have more expectations than we have stated here, why not if not? Let’s hear them all, after all what’s better than five expectations? More!!!
